Safe Shutdown of Router

The normal method of shutting down a router is to shut off the power to it. This may not always be the best method as certain processes running on the router may need time to terminate properly before power down. For this reason, ROOter has a System Stop feature.

This feature shuts down all the processes running on the router before putting it in a shutdown mode. You can then power off the router for a graceful and safe shutdown.

Go to the System menu and then to the System Stop submenu. Click on the System Stop button and the router will do a controlled shutdown.

The power to the USB port may or may not be turned off when this happens, depending on the router model.
